If you need any help with farming, the game also offers a range of farming machinery such as the harvester and even the farm droid which will act like a nanny to all of your farm animals! Well, don’t wait – become a virtual farmer in Farmerama today!

Gameplay

Ready to start using those green thumbs of yours, farmer? Awesome, let’s start planting! Like any other farming simulation game, Farmerama allows you to plant, grow and harvest crops that you can later sell or use in crafting! There are a huge variety of crops that you can choose from at the seed shop, including sunflowers, hay, lettuce, carrots and wheat. In fact, there are up to 74 different types of crops that you can buy, though most of them are level-locked and will only be available once you’ve reached the level required.

With the seeds you’ve bought, you can then sow them into an empty farm plot by selecting the plot and choosing the action you want to do, which in this case is planting. After selecting a crop seed to plant, the seed will be added to the “quick planting” option right below the “planting” option for faster planting. Then, you just need to wait for the crops to mature and voila! Your crops are ready for harvest!

However, there are plenty of ways to increase the speed of growth or to boost your yield, such as by watering your crops. Water reduces plant and animal growing time by 20% and you can buy more, if needed, from the shop using in-game cash or you could just build a water tank and collect from there. You could also add fertilizers to reduce growing time by 5% as well! Furthermore, after the crops are harvested, they will all be stored in your barn. These crops can then be used to plant your next round of crops, to sell, or produce animal feed.

No more plots to plant seeds? No problem, let’s get some more plots then... for free! There are quite a selection of different plot dimensions that you can place and you can fill up your entire land with farming plots if you like! Also, do remember to keep your farm clean by getting rid of all weeds, so you can even get more land to plough more plots in. However, if your map is filled up, you can then unlock the many new farm plots in the beautiful land of Farmerama - even including a cruise to the Bahamarama Island if you have the required level and the number of neighbors.

You can also buy and plant trees at the nursery in Farmerama. There are 48 different types of trees, including fruit trees, like apple, plum and pear trees, and other trees like walnut, ginkgo and magnolia trees. For trees, you have 3 different sizes that you can buy, namely the normal sized tree, XL and then XXL. Naturally, the larger the size, the bigger it will look on your farm and the more yield it will provide. You can then bring all your stored harvest to the Farmer’s market in town to sell them and earn some in-game cash! In town, you can also sign up for a Farmer’s Society (a guild of sorts), and access the message boards where you can post requests and read your friends’ messages and requests as well.

Besides the plants, let’s not forget about the adorable farm animals that make the farm look so much livelier! There are 53 different types of enclosures (for your animals) that you can buy and well, the different types of farm animal have around 3 enclosures each. It’s great that you don’t have to buy the individual animals in this game as you just need to buy the enclosures and the animals will come along with it – it’s like a package deal! However, unlike crops, animals require more care. For example, you should always remember to feed your animals to keep them full and happy. If you do, your animals will then be able to produce offsprings for your farm via breeding!

Need more feed? Well, you can make more at the mill! The mill allows you to craft all the different kinds of feed that your animals may need by using up the crops you’ve harvested... and it cannot just use any crop – different feed will have different crop requirements in order for you to produce them. You can also queue up production up to 3 at a time!

Moreover, do you need some help with farming? Don’t worry! There are plenty of farming supplies for you to buy and use! Some examples include the harvester, seeder, builder and the special farm droid, which is able to clean out animal stalls and feed your farm animals. All of these machineries can be rented for a maximum of 48 hours and well, they all cost BB (premium currency).

Farming is tiring work, so don’t work yourself down to the bone... take some time off for yourself and put your feet up by decorating your farm instead! There is quite a selection of decorations that you can place on your farm, such as pretty fences, a luxury limo and even a small active volcano! You can also purchase adorable pets and give them a home on your farm! However, most of them are premium cash only, though there are some under the “nice to have” tab, like German Shepherd and guard dog, that you can buy using in-game cash. There are even country flags that you can buy using premium cash. Although the variety of décor may not be as huge as its crops, trees or animals collection, it is pretty sufficient.

In the in-game shop, you can also buy boosts like Suzy’s super-grow, which increases harvest and experience points, power-feed that cuts your animals’ growing time by half and is needed for breeding and Suzy’s turbo-mulch which accelerates tree growth by 35%. So, if you want to buy yourself faster progression in Farmerama, you can!

Community

The community in Farmerama is pretty huge! There are 871 thousand likes on its Facebook page and that’s not including those virtual farmers who prefer to gather the allocated Farmerama forums on Bigpoint’s website. If you needed some tips and tricks, then head on over to the forum and get some of the best tips from the many experienced players there! You can even meet some new friends to help you grow your farm too!

Graphics/ Sound

Farmerama contains brilliant 3D cartoon graphics that look extremely well-designed and colorful. The farm animals are adorably done and are nicely animated as well! In terms of sound, Farmerama provides soothing country music in the background with plenty sounds that you’ll usually associate with the great outdoors! All of these combined to form a great farming experience.

Conclusion

In short, Farmerama is a relaxing and fun farming simulation and management game to play! The game offers its players a huge variety of crops and trees to grow as well as farm animals to take care of and breed! You could then send the goods to the farmer’s market in town to sell or you could use them to produce feed for your animals. Need some help with your farm? Feel free to check out the many farming machineries or boosts available in the in-game shop. Don’t forget to decorate your farm and if you like, buy yourself a cute pet too! No one has been taking care of the farm animals at the farm lately, the weeds are running rampant and the harvest has been meager at best... so, would you lend a hand and help the farm grow?
