Experience faster grinding with the improved levelling system so players can focus more on the adventure than worrying on levelling up.
Plotline
The game follows the same storyline with the original Flyff game, the world was created by beings called the Creators where they made the Human Race to watch over the word, being lonely, the Creators granted the Humans their wish to have companions so the Dwarpets were created. As the Creators decided to leave the world, they left a gift by the form of a guardian called Roika, who which created three Clown Gods based on her three aspects, however one of the Clown Gods rebelled against her and causing to severed the land of Roika with the other land sent afloat which is now called Madrigal.
Gameplay
Many aspects of the original Flyff game was retained, there were some improvements that were added to the mobile version to make it more appealing to the newer audience especially for the casual players. It also provides a much faster gameplay due to the action-RPG aspect as it requires more time to react on performing attacks on enemies.
When you start your adventure, you can pick from three of the staring classes; Mercenary, Acrobat and Magician, each of the classes has its own unique playstyle and skill sets that offers different gaming experience to a player, the interesting part is when you reach a certain level, you can pick a second and third tier class that branches out from the usual playstyle to offer more diverse playstyles to users. Unfortunately character customization is very limited as you can only customize the portrait of your avatar and the avatar itself.
Starting off in your journey, there will be quests at the beginning to provide you tremendous amount of experience points and gold when completed, and these quests will unlock newer ones for you to continue the journey. Majority of the objectives are very straightforward, ranging from killing a certain number of monsters to collecting quest items up to talking to specific NPCs. The difficulty on completing these quests are quite easy as it encourages players to enjoy the game casually rather than the traditional MMORPG type of difficulty that requires a lot of time to complete a single quest.
One of the good addition to Flyff Legacy is the auto battle system, here you can let the AI control your avatar and do the action for you, you can adjust the parameter on consuming a health or energy potion at a certain percentage in your life or mana. You can also let the system complete your quests as well, you just activating the auto mode, the system will proceed to the target objective and once it is done, it will proceed to the NPC quest giver to receive the rewards. You can just leave your mobile device for hours and the system will do all the grinding for you with any much effort.
There are challenging dungeons that you can take on, these are instanced dungeons that you can participate at any time or when it becomes available at certain periods of time. You can participate in dungeons alone or with other players, and depending on how you perform, you can earn better rewards, there are random items that you can receive for any completed quests, plus by spending diamonds, you can double the gold and experience points that you earn in completed dungeons. Completing these dungeons requires you to eliminate all the monsters in the area and by defeating the dungeon boss, some of the bosses may require assistance from other players depending on the difficulty. Take note that some of the dungeons may have limited attempts per day and you may have to wait until tomorrow if you use all of the attempts today.
Community
There are a lot of active players in Flyff Legacy, so expect a lot of players hanging out in major towns looking for party members in some dungeon raids. You can also interact with them through the in-game chat. You can also compete with Player versus Player battles to see which player is the best.
Graphics/ Sound
Compared with the original PC game, Legacy offers an improved visuals, with more detailed characters and fluid animations, along with a much vibrant world to explore, it is more fun to play in the mobile version than in the original. As for the music department, the game features some familiar tunes from the PC game, though the music lacks some impact to the overall experience as some of the tracks are a bit uninspiring.
Conclusion
Overall, Flyff Legacy offers a fun experience of the original, and also almost overthrowing it as a more superior version. With the automated levelling system, players can lessen the grinding experience and let the AI handle the rest. Fans of action RPGs will surely enjoy this game and fans of the Fylff series will definitely enjoy the mobile version.
