Plotline

You are hired as a park director at Wanda Welmington’s amusement park. The old park was so run down that it has to be torn down, but the former visitors want a new park. This is where you come in! Being the new park director, it is your job to redesign the amusement park to your liking and get some cash flowing again. Are you up to the task?

Gameplay

The game starts off with a simple tutorial, guiding you on how the game works and what you can do to improve and build up your amusement park!

Let’s begin by building attractions – they are, after all, the bread and butter of your amusement park and are the prime buildings that will reel visitors to your park. My Fantastic Park provides a huge variety of attractions that you can build, including the classic merry-go-round, petting zoo, vintage car rides, raffle ticket booth and many more! There are even themed rides and other attractions too. This includes all of the popular amusement park themes such as medieval, fantasy, sci-fi, western and pirate.

Not to mention, each attraction will have their respective target range of visitors. For instance, petting zoo and merry-go-round appeal more to children while the raffle ticket booth attracts the elderly. The High Striker is targeting the men among your visitors and the swing ride reels in females instead! Thus, it is wise to mix up your attractions, so you can attract all types of visitors to your amusement park and increase your earnings!

To build attractions (or any buildings in this game for that matter), you’ll first need have enough park dollars (in-game money) as well as sufficient resources to purchase it from the shop. Park dollars can be earned by collecting the park’s entrance fees from the entrance booth as well as from the restrooms (you charge them a small fee per entry) and shops. For resources, there is total of 4 different types of resources, namely materials, ideas, technology and nature. These resources will be dropped by your visitors now and then in very small amounts. To get a big load of them though, you can clear stones and puddles off the park grounds. The clearing process will take some time, but considering the amounts of resources you get from it, it is totally worth it!

The buildings you've purchased will come in the form of cards and will be placed in your card bar. You can then click on the respective cards on your card bar and place them on your park. Buildings do take awhile to finish its construction and thus, you’ll need to be patient. If you cannot wait, you can easily spend some real money to speed things up. You can also upgrade your attractions using park dollars and resources. Upgrades will increase the fun factor of your attraction and it will change how your attraction looks as well!

Having only attractions in your amusement park is not enough, you’ll need more buildings to make your visitors stay longer and spend more! To do so, you will need to build shops and stalls. My Fantastic Park offers you a plethora of shops and stalls that you can build, including popular ones like soda, souvenir, ice cream and candy floss stalls, and even a photo booth! These stalls need to be restocked occasionally and restocking your stalls will cost you some in-game money. If you have a lot of stalls, which you should, thankfully, you won’t need to go through them one by one just to restock them. By selecting restock all, you can finish the job in one click. However, this option requires convenience cards that cost real money.

Don’t forget to decorate your amusement park with flowers and ornamental grasses, trees or bushes to further boost up the fun factor and attractiveness of your park! You can also add in special items, like benches, lanterns and playgrounds. There is even a large variety of themed décor, including figurines from Star Trek. Furthermore, you can also activate fun boosters at each individual attraction (which costs you real money), so that your attraction’s experience points awarded per visitor and fun factor will be doubled.

In My Fantastic Park, you will get a free booster pack daily too! Each booster pack will allow you to choose 4 cards from among 8 and most of the cards that you choose will turn out to be card pieces instead of the entire card. Therefore, to get the item, you’ll need to collect all the required card pieces. There’s a trading option, after you’ve built the trading post, for you to trade card pieces that you don’t want for those that you need.

As you progress in the game, you will eventually be able to build your park administration building. This building will allow you to hire employees to relieve you of some of your daily chores. For the high-achievers, in this game, there are achievements that you can strive for as well!

The community in My Fantastic Park isn't very huge and the only fan page available for the game is in German. Graphics/ Sound

My Fantastic Park has very bright and colorful graphics, making your virtual amusement park seems like it is a very cheerful place to be! Every attraction, shop and stall is lovingly designed and the virtual visitors are nicely animated too! Surprisingly, this amusement park management game does not contain any music. However, the game does offer distinctive sound effects for each attraction booth when you click on them.
