Gameplay
The game starts off with a very comprehensive tutorial to guide you through the basics of the game. If you are an experienced bubble shooter player though, you could just skip pass all the tutorial stuff and get right into the gameplay!
In Lost Bubble, you have to match 3 or more bubbles of the same color together to remove them from the playing field (or board as the game sometimes calls it as). If you want to go for the higher score, you should definitely pay good attention in getting as long a combo as you can! Combos will only award you with a multiplier (which will in turn drastically boost up your score points) when you make 3 successful matches in a row. The multiplier must be collected for it, either by matching it up or dropping it down, to have an effect on your score.
Furthermore, the collected multipliers are also added to the Multiplier Meter on the left side of the screen. Keep it up to get a higher score. However, if you shoot without matching any bubbles, your Multiplier Meter will go down and you will lose (at most) 2 multipliers on the board. Thus, in order to keep your combo running, you may need to sometimes switch between the bubbles that you currently have on the bubble shooter (which, in this case, is a staff) with the bubble that is in queue by clicking the switch button or pressing the spacebar.
Besides multipliers, you can also get more score points by dropping chunks of bubbles. To do so, you usually will have to shoot your bubbles to “drill” your way through to the bubbles that are tethering the rest of the lot. Sometimes though, you’ll need to use the walls on the sides to help you bounce your bubble in order to hit hard-to-reach bubbles, which usually result in a huge clump of bubbles dropping down!
In addition, Lost Bubble provides you with a limited number of bubbles per level. Thus, you’ll need to plan carefully your every shot. If you can complete the level before you run out of shots, then you’ll win. Not to mention, if you complete the level with as little moves as you can, any unused bubbles you have left will add extra points to your total score! If you failed the level, you will lose a life from your total of 5 lives. These lives will regenerate over time so don’t worry – you’ll be able to play Lost Bubbles again soon. However, if you can’t wait, you can buy new lives using crystals or you could also beg your friends for more lives!
Although the gameplay in Lost Bubble is pretty much the same as any other bubble shooter game, you may have noticed that the game provides 5 differently colored vials below called the colorizers. When clicked, these colorizers will paint the bubble you have on your staff-like bubble shooter in their respective colors. Just pick the color you need and you’ll always have the correct colored bubble that you need! Unfortunately though, these colorizers are only available if you have premium currency (crystal) to spare.
The level objective in lost bubble is simple – you just need to use whatever means at your disposal to drop the Pandora box/es down from their protective bubbles, so that you can destroy them. However, you must be extremely careful where you shoot your bubbles! They mustn’t hit the Pandora’s box/es at all costs or you will fail the level instantly. Drop it by clearing the bubbles above instead!
Each level you complete will also show you how well you’ve done in the form of keys. The more keys you have, the better you did for that level. You can earn up to a maximum of 3 keys per level, but you’ll need to get at least 1 key in order to proceed to the next level. After you’ve completed all the levels, you can then move on to the next stage of the game after you get enough friends to unlock it for you.
As you progress in the game, you may notice that the levels are getting increasingly challenging due to the introduction of various obstacle bubbles, such as the frozen bubbles and stone bubbles. This will definitely force you to think of creative alternative ways to complete the level... along with a dash of luck as well! However, there will still be time when a level proves to be too hard to solve and this is the perfect time to bring out the “big guns” - the huge variety of magical orbs!
You can purchase these special orbs using crystals or in-game cash at the magic shop. Lost Bubble offers up to 21 different types of magical orbs for you to buy. Some of them are permanent in effect, such as the Orb of Lives Expansion whereby it will increase your maximum lives by 4. There are also plenty of others that will only apply for 1 level in the game, such as the Orb of Wealth, whereby it’ll grant you an additional 5 bubbles; the Orb of Alternative Color that will change the color of the ball you shoot with; the Orb of Fire Ball which will clear a column of bubbles up to the ceiling and the Orb of Titans Eye that shows all bubbles in the level.

Lost Bubble is a quite the popular bubble-shooting game! It has a whopping 4.1 million likes on its Facebook fan page and that number is around half of the number of likes that hit bubble shooter games like Bubble Witch Saga 2 has! Impressive! Graphics/ Sound
The bubbles in the game are very well-done and are very brightly colored. The best part is definitely the background image though. The background sceneries that each stage provides are astoundingly beautiful! In terms of sound, Lost Bubble provides a mysterious, Egypt-inspired music of very high quality, which is rather unexpected in a casual game like a bubble shooter.
Conclusion
In short, Lost Bubble is an addictive and well-developed bubble shooter game that stands out from the other bubble shooter games with its rather unique multiplier system, the huge amount of orbs available as well as its colorizers. In this game, you’ll need to pop bubbles to bring down the suspended Pandora’s box/es without accidentally hitting the box itself with your bubble (or you’ll fail the level). You may need to use whatever skills you may have, including bouncing the bubbles off walls, to try to solve the level using minimal number of bubbles and keeping your multiplier up at all times.
