Gameplay
The game starts with a nicely done tutorial teaching you the basics of a bubble shooter game. However, if you’re an experienced player, the controls in this game are not at all different from other bubble shooter games that you’ve played before.
In Bubble Epic, you’ll be using your mouse to aim and shoot the bubbles from your bubble shooter, which, in this case, is your helpful new friend, Shrubbs. Match 3 bubbles of the same color together to burst them! However, if you cannot find a match, you can press the “spacebar” key to switch the bubble on the deck with the one in your ammo. Don’t randomly pop bubbles though - you should pop your way to the very top of the layout! This is because the objective for every level in Bubble Epic is to pop 10 bubbles in the top row to clear the level. Not to mention, you are given limited number of bubbles per level, so you really have to make each of your shot count!
You may have noticed that there are 5 jars at the bottom. The score for each jar is the same initially. However, as you start making matches, the bonus score for the jars will gradually increase from 300, 500, 700 to 1000. You will need to keep your combos up though. This means that you’ll need every one of your shot to complete a match. If not, you’ll lose your combo and the bonus score on your jars will drop. This multiplier system is very unlike any other bubble shooter game and it does make the game somewhat stands out!
What are these jars used for? Well, it is to encourage you to perform trickier and more risky shots in order to drop huge chunks of bubbles at once instead of tediously making matches for every bubble in the layout. There are many ways you can accomplish that. For instance, you can try to hit the bubbles anchoring a group of bubbles to the top by pulling off a bounce-shot. This means you will bounce your bubble off the walls to reach a hard-to-reach spot. If you managed to do it, the score boost you’ll get is very much worth the risk.
These free falling bubbles will then bounce around a bit before dropping into a jar, earning you some bonus points. The more bubbles you drop and the higher multiplier the jars have, the more bonus score you’ll get! Furthermore, for each level, you’ll need to get at least 1 star to proceed, so essentially, you are shooting for the stars! However, why aim for 1 when you can get the maximum 3 stars, right? Well, in Bubble Epic, it can be rather hard to get 3 stars if you don’t maximize the scores that you can get from getting your bubbles to drop into the jars or from maintaining your combo streak. The best case scenario? Get all your jars to 1000 and let the rain of bubbles begin!
Stars are important in this game as you’ll need them to open chests that are placed on the map. Chests may sometimes give you free power-ups and coins while at times, it may unlock a mini-game for you to get a chance to win some items! Certain levels will reward you with jigsaw puzzle pieces, 1 to 3 pieces depending on how you’ve faired (or how many stars you get). These puzzle pieces are then collected at the Stars Club and once you have all 4 pieces of the same puzzle, you will be rewarded with a free power-up or two. Stars are not required to unlock a new stage though. Instead, you’ll need your friends’ help to unlock a new stage. Once you enter a new stage, you’ll be given a new bubble shooter cum guardian spirit for free! Collect them all!
Soon, you will encounter special bubbles and items in the game. For instance, you’ll encounter keys trapped in translucent bubbles that when hit directly, the bubbles will shatter. The same goes to any translucent bubbles with any sort of objects in them, including the Heavenly Drop, whereby a gust of wind is trapped in the bubble. These rare orbs are very fragile and you will want to gently drop these bubbles instead! These objects are then collected in your magic bottle for future use. There are also other “obstacle” bubbles, like the stone bubbles, which will increase the difficulty of a game slightly.
If a game proves to be too difficult and you’ve failed the game, you will lose a life. You are given a maximum of 5 lives and once they are all gone, you will need to wait for them to regenerate. You can also buy more lives by spending real money or pestering your friends with life requests.
Nonetheless, wasting a life away is not the way to go. Instead, why not use the coins you’ve earned from playing to buy power-ups to help you? There are 2 sorts of power-ups – one of which can be bought before you enter a game and the other can be bought during the game. Before starting a game, you are given 6 power-up choices to buy, such as starting with extra 5 bubbles or with all containers upgraded to 500 points. While playing, there are more power-ups you can choose from. This includes Seon extension which shows you the extended trajectory of your aim even for wall-bouncing shots; Mimicus orb that turns into the color of the first bubble it touches; Explodere orb which bursts all stone bubbles in surrounding area and many more! All of them, however, will cost you premium cash to buy. Granted that not all power-ups can be bought using in-game money – that applies to a majority of the power-ups, whatever advantage you can buy may prove useful in the game!
Last but not least, in Bubble Epic, you can also play with your friends through the challenge mode and see who can get the highest score within the time limit to win! Don’t worry if you lose! All participants will get a prize, but of course, the winner gets more along with the bragging rights! There is also a leaderboard for each level whereby your score will be compared with your friends’ scores. Will yours be at the top?

Bubble Epic is a rather popular bubble shooting game. Although it is not exactly comparable to hit bubble shooter games like Bubble Witch Saga 2, the game has almost 1 million likes on its Facebook fan page! Graphics/ Sound
Bubble Epic has pretty nice graphics. The game is filled with brightly-colored bubbles against beautiful background images. It’s all very nice. In terms of music, the game contains a fantastic music that really brings out the magic in the game. However, due to being looped, the music may sound a bit repetitive after some time. If you want to turn it off by then, there’s an option for you to do so.
Conclusion
In short, Bubble Epic is an awesome and fun-filled bubble shooter game that has a rather interesting and unique multiplier system. The game starts off with a mysterious story about how you suddenly find yourself on Epic Island and how Shrubbs, one of the magical inhabitants on the island has pledged to help you. As you travel, you will encounter levels after levels of bubble shooting puzzles that you’ll have to solve! Aim for the stars as you flawlessly execute a couple of risky shots and brought down half of the bubbles in the layout into the max-upgraded jars at the bottom! If you’re stumped by a harder-than-usual level, feel free to use the coins you’ve earned to buy power-ups to help yourself! In Bubble Epic, you can even challenge your friends to an exciting match of bubble shooting to see who the elite bubble shooter is! If you have a soft spot for bubble shooter games and has plenty of friends to play with, then you should definitely try Bubble Epic!
